MOF BENCHI (World Expo)

Using MOF (Mechanically Obstructed Fibers), invented by Nobel laureate Dr. Kitagawa, we collaborated with Aiai Furniture Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a long-established furniture manufacturer in Osaka and also a user of our ExtraBold large-scale 3D additive manufacturing machine, EXF-12, to create the world's first bench made with MOF. The design was by Associate Professor Tomoaki Kageyama of Nagoya City University.

At the request of SyncMOF (at the time), which exhibited at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, this "MOF Bench" was installed not as an exhibit, but as a usable public bench.

This project was realized through the community of "BOLDGYM ACADEMY," a corporate manufacturing training gym operated by ExtraBold, and is a representative example of the convergence of technologies and knowledge from diverse fields.
